Cava Almirall

Cava Almirall is a family-run winery located in the center of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia. Its origins date back to 1950 when the then young and enterprising Jaume Almirall Olivella made his first draft of cava with his own wine produced in the small winery from the "Les Rovires" vineyard that his father cultivated. He learned the trade in the Gramona cellars, where he worked until 1979, when he began to dedicate himself full time to the elaboration of his own cava, thus formally beginning the business activity of Cava Almirall.

In 1994 the old winery was remodeled and expanded, whose façade is included in the Catalog of Buildings of Historical or Architectural Interest of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia in the category of Remarkable Third Class Buildings.
Currently, the third generation of the family continues to cultivate 5 hectares of vineyards in "Les Rovires" of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia and elaborate small productions of long-aged cavas that they distribute without intermediaries throughout Spain, and they plan to expand and improve the facilities of your winery.
