BODEGAS TORRE ORIA

Bodegas Torre Oria is located in the Spanish region of Utiel-Requena (southeast of Valencia). At the end of the 19th century, the Oria family from Rueda was successfully involved in the silk business in Valencia. Years later, the family decided to move their business to the city of Requena, 60 km inland from Valencia. With the decline of the silk industry, they decided to convert their business to the world of wine.

Our wine region is located between the Castilian plateau and the Mediterranean coast, 60 km from the sea.
One of its main characteristics is its difference in altitude, between 650 metres and 905 metres above sea level. Other very important characteristics for the quality of the grapes are its limestone and sand soils and the large temperature variations between day and night.
All of these geographical characteristics provide unique characteristics to our Cavas and Wines.
