PAGO DE THARSYS

Pago de Tharsys is a beautiful familyrun winery surrounded by 14 hectares of organic vineyards, olive and almond trees. The underground winery dates from 1808, and is excavated in the limestone bedrock that characterizes this property, it is in this underground winery where the cavas are aged. It is one of the pioneer wineries in the production of cavas in the Requena area, near Valencia. Today, it specializes in long-aging organic cavas. Pago de Tharsys and its vineyards are located 800 meters above sea level, on very limestone soils, two factors that characterizes their cavas with an extra freshness, elegance and longevity. The winery is open to visits all year round, travelers curious to know the process of making cava are always welcome!
