MATA I COLOMA SL

Mata i Coloma is a small family business that was born out of the knowledge acquired after Pere Mata studied oenology and it is he who recovered the tradition of both his grandfathers in the production of cava and wine with a true vocation of a craftsman. Also for Pere Mata each cava has its own personal identity, in which is imprinted the idiosyncrasies and peculiarities of the different soils. From way back, Mata i Coloma have firmly defended the indigenous varieties and have also applied ecological practices to their vineyards and used the techniques of vinification combined with the ancestral knowledge of the Mata Coloma family and of the Penedès, the modern methods contributed by viticultural evolution. The results are cavas that by their quality have made a name for themselves in the market, which has not gone unnoticed by the specialised media, which has recognised these virtues that have also led them to win several medals at prestigious wine contests.
