Bodegas Capità Vidal is renowned for crafting Premium long-aged Cavas, where time becomes the finest ally of quality. Our greatest challenge—and our deepest satisfaction—is witnessing how, over the years, each cava preserves its freshness, elegance, and character.

Founded in 1985 by Captain Enrique Vidal Paz, a seasoned solo sailor who circumnavigated the globe, the winery was born from a shared passion with his wife Tati Fuchs, sailing champion on patín a vela. Together, they brought to the world of wine the values the sea had taught them: preparation, respect, perseverance, and the joy of taking pleasure in a job well done.

Today, Capità Vidal remains a family-run winery with a limited production, combining traditional knowledge with modern technology. Every step of the process is guided by a deep respect for the environment, from vineyard to bottle.

Nestled in the heart of the Penedès Superior, 200 meters above sea level and sheltered from northern winds by the Montserrat mountains, our winery embodies the harmony between land, time, and sea that defines the soul of Cava Capità Vidal.
