Sam Cheng presents the Cava D.O. to 50 wine professionals in Shanghai

On 29 July, we were present at the first Tasting Day in China, organised by Prodeca in the framework of the European project European Quality Wines: Taste the Difference.

The Chinese wine expert Sam Cheng highlighted the heterogeneity of the Catalan wine-growing region, emphasising its winemaking tradition, in addition to explaining the guarantees of being part of a Denomination of Origin such as the D.O. Cava: exacting standards of quality, food safety, authenticity, respect for the environment, and respect for the environment, origin and territory.

The InterContinental Shanghai JingAn Hotel was the meeting point for around 50 journalists and professionals from the sector, including importers, retailers, distributors, wholesalers and restaurateurs.

The presentation ended with a tasting of different wines and Cavas to demonstrate the excellent quality of products with Designation of Origin.
