Barcelona Wine Week
The benchmark Spanish wine show returns to Fira de Barcelona from April 4 to 6, 2022. The second edition of Barcelona Wine Week (BWW) will once again bring together the country's largest wine offer to show all its power and variety to national and international operators in the sector and contribute to the revitalization of the sector.
The Cava D.O. will have an important exhibition space at the fair, with the representation of some of its associated wineries, in addition to organizing top-level presentations and tastings within the framework of the fair itself.

APRIL 4
10:30 am - Noon - Juvé & Camps
Xarel·lo is undoubtedly one of the white grape varieties that Cava is most identified with in its area of origin, Penedès in Catalonia, where it is considered an indigenous variety.
In this exclusive tasting, you will be able to try and compare three 100% monovarietal Xarel·lo cavas, including one from each Guarda Superior category, with Toni Cantos, wine expert at Juvé & Camps, as your guide:

From the podium of wines, it represents an evolution of the traditional Grande Cava concept: the high-quality organic grape of the Vallcirera Paraje Calificado and the result of many years of work to obtain a high-quality cava, with its own personality and rooted in our territory. The golden transparency of this cava reveals a fine and persistent effervescence. Balanced and structured, it stands out for its refined and elegant character.
3 - 4:30 pm - Most Doré
A halo of glamour and elegance surrounds the Cava Rosado. For the occasion, Most Doré presents a revealing tasting under the name: "Life in pink with Montesquius". Montesquius continues to innovate, working and devoting its efforts to providing consumers with a product of exclusive quality at all times. Unique aromas for subtle palates that enjoy and appreciate a job well done in the vineyards.
A tasting of pink cavas led by the sommelier and director of the Vinari Awards, editor-in-chief of VadeVi, Ramón Roset.
4:45 -6:15 pm – Vins el Cep
Producers since 1980 of unique high quality cavas, located in the Costers de l'Anoia, in Can Llopart de les Alzines, they represent one of the pioneering wineries in organic and biodynamic viticulture. The backbone of this project was, and always will be, these four friends who combined their passion, knowledge, and love for their land, and who have made the business what it is today. They had the grapes and over time they managed to refine both the vineyards and the winery, to obtain high-quality, expressive wines.

Mastinell is a small boutique winery located in the heart of the town of Vilafranca del Penedès. Chat with Mastinell's wine expert, Sandra Estévez and discover the secrets of some of its most acclaimed cavas, including:

4:45 - 6:15 pm – Vilarnau
If you missed the tasting "The Magnificent Seven of Cava" with Ramón Francás, or you want to relive cava, as presented by Vilarnau, this is your chance.
Guided by Vilarnau's own wine expert, Eva Plazas, enjoy a vertical tasting of the Cava de Guarda Superior Albert de Vilarnau Chardonnay-Pinot Noir.
Beginning with the 2009 vintage and ending with the current 2015, this is a tour of the different vintages of this Guarda Superior Gran Reserva, born out of one of the first Pinot Noir vineyards planted in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia in 1991.

The Cava de Guarda Superior de Paraje Calificado, as its name indicates, is a unique product, the result of a special and specific place, a vineyard and a farm that due to its characteristics (location and terroir), differs from the rest.
