Masterclass in pairing Cava and Japanese cuisine, with sommelier Kikuchi

On 3 June, an online seminar will be held exclusively for Japanese professionals, led by the renowned Japanese sommelier Takayuki Kikuchi.

This seminar aims to show the versatility and close links between Cava and Japanese gastronomy, including a tasting and pairing with different complementary ingredients of Japanese cuisine.

Mr Kikuchi will conduct the Masterclass, educating attendees about Cava and showing its pairing potential. The acclaimed Mr Kikuchi is currently director and sommelier in charge of the restaurant at the Aquaignis Hot Springs Thermal Resort in Japan; he is the former head sommelier of the restaurant Sant Pau in Tokyo, and was a participant in the "Young Professionals in Spanish Gastronomy Program".

Cava Dicovery Week

This activity is part of the Cava promotion programme in Japan for 2021. The online tasting for professionals will take place in parallel to Cava Discovery Week, which will be held from 1 to 10 June in the Ginza district of Tokyo.
