The edition of the conference series "360 degrees of Cava" in the US market ended with a much-anticipated seminar for the professional public. On 17 November, trade and press attended the round table on Premium Cava and the new regulations.
Three winemakers, Anaïs Manobens from Maria Rigol Ordi; David Piera from Roger Goulart and Gloria Collell from Segura Viudas, contributed their knowledge and explained the new regulations. They also discussed the essential element of sustainability that is integral to the project, and their first-hand experience as wineries associated with the Designation of Origin.
The Master of Wine of Mexican heritage, Martin Reyes, discussed extremely interesting topics related to sustainability in the Cava sector, answering questions raised by those attending the seminar. All this was accompanied by a tasting of three Premium Cavas that illustrated the informal conversation between the four wine experts.
At this tasting and seminar of exceptional quality, Martin Reyes MW emphasised that
"The Cavas presented in this session are among the best sparkling wines in the world. Do not forget that Cava consistently produces wines of the highest level".
