Cava is presented to more than 120 professionals from the Polish market
The Polish market's considerable interest in sparkling beverages is undoubtedly one of the most positive indicators for positioning oneself in this growing market. According to industry forecasts and ICEX data, wine sales in Poland are expected to increase by 32.1% by 2023.
For this reason, at our first ever seminar in the country, held on 30 November, we reached more than 120 professionals including sommeliers, importers and managers of leading local hotel and catering chains. A total of 12 in-person groups from around the country gathered for two hours to attend a virtual masterclass and guided tasting of Cava. They heard the latest news of the Designation of Origin, and had a demonstration of the exceptional quality of the Spanish sparkling wine par excellence.
The professional audience, made up of importers, independent wine buyers, sommeliers and restaurateurs, among others, tasted a total of 10 Premium Cavas during the session. These were from the following wineries: Agustí Torelló Mata, Alta Alella, Avinyó, Celler Jordi Lluch, Farré i Catasús, Maria Rigol Ordi, Naveran, Sumarroca, Vallformosa and Vins el Cep.
"All the Cavas tasted at this seminar have a unique personality. The wide variety of styles mean that Cava has considerable potential for pairing with any dish," commented wine expert Germán Muñoz, speaker at the masterclass.
The attendees were extremely interested in this comprehensive masterclass on Cava, which covered topics such as the wine’s origins, the traditional method, and segmentation and zoning, as well as a high-quality tasting. At the end of the tasting, those attending offered positive feedback:
