"Top Cava shows its origins: the new zonification rules" webinar by Pedro Ballesteros MW
On 17 May, a webinar will be held exclusively for German professionals from the trade, press and HoReCa channel, led by the renowned Master of Wine, Pedro Ballesteros.
Entitled "Top Cava shows its origins: the new zonification rules", this one-hour webinar will provide an in-depth look at the D.O. Cava with an educational approach, explaining the new segmentation and zonification rules, and culminating in a tasting of Premium Cavas.
Pedro Ballesteros is an agronomical engineer and Master in Viticulture and Oenology. He obtained the WSET Diploma with distinction, and became Master of Wine in 2010. A columnist for several newspapers and magazines in Spain and Belgium, Pedro also writes regularly for wine magazines in the UK and Italy, working in four languages. He chairs several international wine competitions, including Decanter's DWWA, Vinitaly's 5StarWines , Concours Mondial Bruxelles, Bacchus, and others.
He is active in the fields of promotion and education, and is a member of the Council of the Institute of Masters of Wine, the board of the Spanish Tasters Union, the Council of the International Federation of Wine and Spirit Journalists and Writers (FIJEV), the Wine Committee of the Basque Culinary Centre, and other institutions. Pedro is also national expert for Spain at the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), and a member of the Grand Order of the Knights of Wine.
