Viñedos de Almendralejo

The Viñedos de Almendralejo (Almendralejo vineyards) area is located in the southwestern-most part of the Designation of Origin, specifically in the municipality of Almendralejo, in Badajoz province in the Tierra de Barros region.

Of practically flat relief, located at an average altitude of between 200 and 450 metres above sea level, the vineyards enjoy a fairly dry climate, mild winters and high temperatures in summer, accentuated by the action of the warm wind, known locally as the solano.
