As part of the international training programme of the Cava Designation of Origin in the US market, an exclusive Masterclass was held this summer at the prestigious Napa Valley Wine Academy.
The Masterclass was led by the expert in the world of wine and Cava, Rick Fisher, director of the Spanish Wine Scholar Guild programme as well as Advanced Cava Trainer. Rick presented the latest innovations in Cava to 30 high-level professionals.
Attendees included prominent members of the San Francisco area wine trade; students and graduates of the Napa Valley Wine Academy; professionals with WSET Level 3 and Diploma certifications; and students from the Wine Scholar Guild.
Alta Alella, Avinyó, Codorníu, Juvé & Camps, and Mata i Coloma were the wineries that made this Masterclass shine with their Cavas de Guarda Superior.
This Masterclass at the Napa Valley Wine Academy proved to be a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of Cava, learn from an expert in the field, and connect with other wine enthusiasts and industry professionals. It is a reminder that wine, in all its varieties, continues to dazzle us with its elegance and versatility, and Cava is no exception.
The Napa Valley Wine Academy, founded in 2011, has graduated more than 25,000 students, and has been awarded twice as the best WSET school of the year.
