One of the main pillars of Cava is undoubtedly the traditional method, followed by the grape varieties permitted for its production. Among these the triumvirate of Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Parellada stand out, grapes that are indigenous to the region, with their own personality and distinctive character.
The first Master of Wine of Mexican heritage, Martin Reyes, presented the third webinar on Cava, part of the "360 degrees of Cava" campaign. This webinar, aimed at more than 30 industry professionals from the United States, focused on the versatility of Cava, its origins, and the types of grapes used to make it.
Martin Reyes MW, accompanied by representatives from the Agustí Torelló Mata and Naveran wineries, offered an impressive overview of the distinct characteristics of the main grapes used to make Cava, their particularities, and the qualities they contribute to Cava. The attendees were able to taste delicate long-aged Cavas while following the virtual tasting.
The series "360 degrees of Cava" continues its journey, guided by Martin Reyes MW, with an upcoming webinar on 17 November. This time he will talk about the new segmentation and zoning regulations in a seminar that is highly anticipated by the professional audience.
