The Cava D.O., committed to training at prestigious sommelier schools in Europe

The world of wine is an amalgam of tradition, knowledge and passion. The Cava D.O., with its history and international recognition, is not only well known for producing excellent sparkling wines through the traditional method, but is also committed to promoting the art of Cava production through training programs at some of Europe's most prestigious schools

During the last quarter of the year Cava has been present in six European countries teaching different master classes, with a serious commitment to Cava training throughout Europe being taken on through collaboration with Advanced Cava Trainers sharing their passion for Cava and the latest developments with other professionals on the continent.

In this way, Cava has made a significant mark through the holding of thirteen educational seminars at some of Europe's most prestigious schools, from Poland, to Italy, to Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland, always with the assistance of the Advanced Level Cava Trainers who have passed through the Cava Academy in person over the last few years.

Each and every one of the training sessions attracted enthusiastic participants, who were able to learn more about Cava. Through this training program we have reached more than 210 people, with a large number of new local prescribers having been able to learn about its traditional production method and the latest developments related to it, including recent segmentation and zoning regulations.

For the occasion, we drew on the support of some twenty Cava wineries, which presented at the sessions some of their Cavas de Guarda Superior as examples of high quality under the Cava D.O.: Alta Alella, Avinyó, Bodegas Dehesa de Arriba, Bodegas Hispanosuizas, Bodegas Langa, Bodegas Romale, Canals & Munné, Cava Mastinell, Cavas Hill, Celler Carles Andreu, Dominio De La Vega, Giró Ribot, Mata i Coloma, Mestres, Muscàndia, Parés Baltà, Pere Ventura, Roger Goulart, Sumarroca and U més U.
