On 18 May, a distinguished group of chefs and F&B (food and beverage) managers from renowned international hotel chains gathered in Madrid to explore and discover the versatile world of Cava.
During this special activity, organised in collaboration with ICEX as part of its training programme through the FWS (Food and Wine from Spain) Academy, the participants had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious pairing of traditional Spanish dishes with an exquisite selection of Cavas de Guarda Superior.
At this unique event, a tasting menu was prepared to pair with the following Cavas: Josep Foraster Trepat, Juvé & Camps Milesimé, Mestres Coquet, Sumarroca Núria Claverol Homenatge, and Vilarnau Gran Reserva.
At the end of the meeting, the participating chefs and F&B directors were given a Hospitality Training Certificate, in recognition of their participation and knowledge acquisition in the training programme about Spanish cuisine.
The participants were from various countries and internationally renowned hotels, such as Meliá in Thailand and Peru, Hilton in Colombia and Malaysia, the Intercontinental in Canada, and the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago, among others, reflecting the global interest in Spanish gastronomy and Cava.
This special event not only allowed participants to discover the versatility and quality of Cava, but also encouraged cultural and gastronomic interchange between professionals from different countries and hotel chains.
