As a result of the new zoning and segmentation regulations, the D.O. Cava's Guarda Superior category will be 100% organic in the near future, a differentiating factor that is emblematic of the denomination.
The online round table: "The D.O. Cava towards organic production, a more sustainable and environmentally friendly world", will take place on 21 April from 12 midday to 1pm, and is a private event aimed at the sector's press.
The conversation will focus on the advantages and challenges of organic and biodynamic viticulture in Cava, looking at five wineries at different stages of the process, with a representative of the winegrowers.
To highlight the value of this joint project, five organic producers representing the D.O. Cava, and a representative of the winegrowers, together with Álvaro Ribalta, the first Catalan MW, will present a concept that extends beyond fashion and is a highly topical reality: ecology and biodynamics, areas which are championed by Cava.
