Cava Discovery Week in Japan
Starting 25th October, the acclaimed Cava Discovery Week, illustrated by the celebrated artist Jordi Labanda, will take place for the first time in Japan.
A promotional campaign, in the prestigious and dynamic Ginza district of Tokyo, where more than 20 restaurants will prepare gastronomic offerings accompanied by Cava. These culinary pairings will demonstrate the wine’s high quality and versatility with any type of dish, highlighting its excellent pairing potential with Japanese food. We will bring the Cava region to Tokyo, providing both the end consumer and restaurants with digital material from each winery, so that knowledge about the land and the people behind each Cava is accessible to all participants.
A selection of high-end and Michelin-starred restaurants, including the renowned Onodera restaurant, are also taking part in this exceptional programme, will be excited to prepare a special menu that includes 5 dishes with 5 different Cavas, once again demonstrating the wine’s astonishing versatility.
During Cava Discovery Week, in addition to this exclusive promotion in restaurants, the Japanese capital will see parallel activities with the press and respected professionals from the sector, including on-site and online tastings, as well as an exclusive educational seminar with tasting and pairing by the prestigious Sommelier Takayuki Kikuchi (see above).
